Still not got Bro in Law a present. I have an idea, but I'm never sure if I'm gettin g it right. I texted sister to ask if there was anything, and she said he's getting a bit Xmas present so he's not getting birthday presents. But I really feel I should take a token something - which is why a token seems like a cop out...

Tomorrow is my last ditch foray to the shops... I'd get him a couple of bottles of nice beer, but I have to carry whatever I get on the train. Suppose I could slip them down the side of my rucksack.

I am going out shortly to procure a pressie for my Mother. Chocolates I think, or a very posh Easter Egg or some flowers? I do not normally leave things til the last minute, but it has been a very jumbled up week, in many respects. I think I will go on holiday on Monday.

Might get myself some choc while I am out.
