Aww, well that's alright then.

And in other good news ... I think I've found a dog sitter so I can go on the club's Exmouth ride next week! Woo hoo, fish n chips, here I come :hungry:
Ooh, I've not had fish and chips for a couple of months  Should eat a healthy evening meal though as am probably not going to get on the bike this weekend

Does the club go from Bristol to Exmouth? It sounds as if you and your club are ideal candidates to come along on the Exmouth Exodus Bristol - Exmouth Full moon ride.:bicycle:

Oh no, no biking? But the weather's going to be lovely! :hugs:

re: Exmouth, I believe the plan is to trailer our bikes a wee bit closer and *then* cycle in

I can honestly say that there's no way I'm fit enough to manage the Exodus, though I'm tempted by the idea of coming as far as Taunton and then turning for home. Possibly. I'll pass the details on to the rest of the club though: some may be interested. We're losing quite a few members this week and next. They're off to France. Gits.

And unfit. I had to bail at Scotch Corner, 50 miles in, knackered. Fortunately my lift home was able to come and get me from there.

So, so tired now... :tired:
Cup of tea and an early night required! As you were able to get a lift back it sounds as if you did the sensible thing rather than struggling onwards. Is a ride that counts as unfinished business?

Might get out tomorrow. My knee is a bit sore so am resting up a bit, and tomorrow I'm helping out on an Audax - depending on the numbers I'll hopefully be finished by mid afternoon and go for a leisurely spin.

Your club sounds like it's got the right kind of idea  Are they off to watch some kind of bike ride byany chance?

Bet you would be fit enough for the Exodus! You could always bike down to Cheddar Gorge where we'll have the roving tea (ok, and coffee) van parked up...

So, let me get this right, you did the flat bit and bailed as soon as the going got hilly?
Good girl

I have pulled out of tomorrows planned 50 just to help Baggy out, nothing to do with being a hill shy wimp

*clatters round as it's too nice a day to be in bed*

Tea and toast on the go, there's a working party up the allotment later. I had a tidy up yesterday in advance, a bit like tidying up before the cleaner comes (if I had a cleaner that is).

Had some very nice Greek yoghurt with honey on the strawbs yesterday and still have plenty to look forward to later.

Have a nice day all!

S'alright, I'm up! Off to a carboot sale in a minute or two. And then I need to buy some shoes. Typical woman eh? Well not really. As I'm now away from home for a week, I sent a bag of luggage ahead with my friend to save having to carry it on the trike yesterday. Netbook, clothes etc. But forgot shoes! Don't fancy clacking about in SPDs ALL week.
