What is $25 in Sterling?

When she has repaid it, do you choose another recipient.

Even as I am writing this, I can see that it would be easier to "just do it" and see what the options are.

I have in the past supported Workaid at www.workaid.org. They send sewing machines, typewriters and carpentry tools etc to people to set up a small business.

Um. Maths. In sterling ... um. IIRC, about £18. I think. Um

You can have has many loans on the go as you like ... I've got 3. Each loan has a repayment schedule but whenever I've had an instalment, I've topped it up and turned it back into another loan. Thinking about it, all 3 made a repayment this week. Hmmm ...

Phil: coz I is useless?

I see, so I could start with a small donation, see how it goes, and add to it, if I wanted to. The reason I ask about which country, is because I would prefer to donate to someone in Africa, seeing as how Workaid have links there.

Yes, I know that Africa is a big continent. Most of the loans mentioned on the Kiva website, seem to be to South American countries, or have I got that wrong.

Can I donate through Paypal, or have I got that wrong as well?

So, just say I donate to him.

He will feel that a start, however small, has been made.
Other people might decide to help, once he has some lenders.
