I think you might find that you need a cycle with brakes.

yeah they're quite useful too - although I rather like the break from the kids when I'm out on the bike...........

isn't very good a typing, never proof reads and occasionaly slips up on grammar/correct word usage

As for Brompton's (had to google those

) well - when I first learned to ride a bike I rode what my parents bought me, then had a long break and then spent 1 1/2yrs riding a clapped out MTB that the school I was working at in Zimbabwe loaned me (I did regular 20 mile rides on it - plus one memorable ride from Haut Bay to Cape Point on a borrowed clapper out shopper type bike

). Then didn't get anywhere near a saddle again until 2 weeks ago when I bought myself a bright pink MTB type thing with "Mad Cow" written down the side...........as far as I'm concerned it's got 2 wheels and a couple of gears (and most importantly breaks haha) so it'll do me

Quite frankly I couldn't give a rat's arse what you ride so long as you're nice

An admirable sentiment!

My Brompton is a bit of a running joke around here. I've no idea why. Well, I might have mentioned it once or twice when I got it, but I was very excited about it.

If you like clapped out old shopper bikes, ask Night Train to show you his, so to speak, when he next pops in....

Was meant to be getting up early to have a trip to Aldi but can't be bothered now, they are building a new store a stones throw from my house, I'll wait til it's open and go then instead

Arch- Are you using the brommie much? Quite like the idea of them but don't know if I will ever get one, I did a ride with bromptonfb last year and he had no trouble doing 115 miles on his
