I think Potsy is still waiting for Tiddles to fire up the tea urn!

He won't though, he hasn't got his tyres on yet.

I'm off to get my brain assessed for funtionality in a little while and I shall get a new inner tube while I am out.

Hmmmm, which bike to take, Emmille or Granville?

Granville I think, as he is most representative of your... shall we say, mentality?

;)

I started the day at work with a headache, and ended it with a blood sugar dip, but some of the bits inbetween were ok....

I made this:

It's Pumpkin night at St Nicks this evening, but I didn't have a pumpkin to carve, so I made use of one of the green tomatoes that was hanging around...

Morning all.
I have the day off work to look after Henry. He seems a little perkier this morning.
And it's raining out..so a little glad of no commute.

TEA UP!

Sorry to hear about little peanut being off colour - is he picking up a bit?
Tea all round!

Arch - I'm liking the green tomatoe sub - there's a great scented pumpkin replacement you can make with the skin of an orange -
cut the top off- carve in a weirdy face and put a tealight in it - keep an eye but it scents a lovely orange fragrance around the house.

This year we have a small pumpkin--mmm can't wait to eat it's innards.

Looks good, arch  Is it based on anyone in the tea room?

tt, that's a fab idea. :becool:

Off to the pub in a bit. After this afternoon's rain, I'm wearing my fleece jacket but will be taking the rain coat, just in case...

I went on the Emmille to the GP surgery. Had a nice chat with a chap who will try to find out what's happened to my memory and de-stress the stressy parts of my noodle.

It was fine on the Emmille so long as I didn't need to stop. I did forget at one traffic light that I didnt have hub gears and ended up having to restart in top while balancing on tippy toes.

Having ridden to the LBS (closed) and the local indoor market (didn't have the right size) and Wilkinsons (ditto) I decided to drive off to Halfords and a range of proper bike shops. Harry hall's had the inner tube in the end.

The tomato looks good, Arch. I can imagine a whole series of them, placed on window sills, all in a row.

I tried to pay a bill via online banking earlier. Apparently I need a card reader to do that!
I shall send a cheque instead.

Right, time for dinner and a cuppa tea.:hungry:

Would anyone like a white wombat?

Coffeejo, please try and contain yourself!

I squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed a lot on facebook last night, so you are all safe

I was very good in the pub tonight and ordered a vegetable curry on the grounds that I hadn't yet consumed any. It came with rice and naan bread. And popadoms. Excellent value and very tasty. Let us not dwell upon the calories.

Tea?

A hot beverage would be most welcome, thank you.

I was just watching Frozen Planet and during the bit on Greenland there was a lake of melt water that overflowed into gullies in the ice. It looked so lovely, clear water brilliant white chutes channeling the water and I was just thinking how great and fun it would be to raft along it when suddenly all the water poured down a hole one mile deep to the bottom of the ice flow! Didn't seem so much fun then.

At least the inevitable loss of control of your bodily functions would keep you warm

Would anyone like a white wombat?

One of our favourite moments on Life on Earth was the wombat bit. Attenborough's voice over said that wombats were not known for their sparkling intellect, while the film showed two of them - one digging a hole, and the other standing behind it and continually getting showered in dust, and blinking a lot....

Time for bed I think. :tired:

Need something stronger than tea. Partner has been in hospital since Sunday as they are worried about premature birth. Been cycling from melksham to Bath and back again every day to visit. I just hope the baby waits a couple more weeks would make me and Katherine a great deal happier with the situation. Sigh.

Tea with a splash of something stronger coming up.

Fingers crossed for you and the family. Still, these days, the outlook is so much better than it was. Just over a year ago a colleague of mine was frantic about his partner who'd developed pre-eclampsia. Poppy is now a year old, and a very smiley baby indeed!
