This cleaning lark is fantastic! Still at it from the weekend and the recycling bin is nearly full! Getting to the stage where the effort invoved leads to smaller and smaller returns. I will reach a giving up point soon.
I've just had that realisation that I have probably annoyed a load of people for Chirstmas by sending cards that are not tissue paper thin. The post office will probably charge them all a pound to collect them!

I've just found the file that contains much of my research into my house. I have all the registration of transfers from 1886 when it was first sold as a part of the estate of the deceased Robert Hall. The house was one of 10 semi, 2 detatched and one cottage and a field that was built in 1873.
There are some beautiful some beautiful hand written scripts there and a lot of stamps and embossed marks.
I just need to find my census research of all the inhabitants up to the 1950s.

If any of you are down this neck of the woods and like scrambled eggs on toast, I thoroughly recommend the cafe at Dunkerswell airfield. Quite possibly the best I have ever tasted. 
Needed it too: the last five miles home into a headwind were v e r y s l o w

Blimey, that wind is really picking up now, felt quite guilty about missing another day on the bike but am most glad I did

Ah, that's better. Had an hour-long soak in the tub. Now resemble a lobster but feel slightly more prepared for getting back on the bike for another tonight.

What an utterly miserable day! I don't recall being so wet and miserable all through last winter. and 
I came in and stood under a hot shower for a quarter of an hour, and have defrosted all but a small bit in the middle, which I'm now attacking with a hot cuppa.
NT, your documents might look good framed. I stayed in a holiday house recently that had lots of big framed indentures and deeds on the walls, looked very good, and fascinating to read.
