I've been curled up on the sofa under a big blanket RESTING and watching the BBC 4 programme on Jeruselem. Now watching the BBC4 programme on church bells.:cold::cuppa:

I should finish making a piece of jewellery but I might get to do that over the weekend.

Potsy! How's the bike?

There's nothing like a big blanket and some telly when you're poorly. Poor thing.

I'm posting from work it's the volunteer social tonight and I can't be bothered to go home and back again, so I will be attending the party in my best grotty work trousers and fleece. Might swap the steel toecap boots for my trainers though.

Just having a most welcome :cuppa:

Well have just failed to produce 160 lettuce seedlings on my fifth attempt. This time something bit the tops off them. Project is due in at the beginning of March. It takes four weeks for seed to reach the five true leaf stage, which will take me into February. I need to run the trial for 28 days to collect results and then do dry matter tests. I think my dissertation is now dead in the water, as I don't have the time to sow more seeds and bring them on.

Plus with Christmas and my mum being on her last legs, I just don't know what to do. Oh well, sorry for bringing the tea thread down with my problems.

:bravo:
Bike is still on the stand awaiting a test ride tomorrow, if it's still the same it will go in for a check on Monday
Emptied the paniers of Christmas goodies from work, 1.2kg of Christmas cake and a bottle of wine.
Could certainly feel that extra weight this morning, must be what Jo feels like after the usual cafe stops :mrpig:
Still need to bring my shortbread bikkies home but they are bigger than the paniers, do I eat them at work, take the car, or take my rucksack? Decisions, decisions

Anything the rest of us can do?

Just worked out that its taken me four months to produce nothing. If anyone knows of a place selling hydroponic grown lettuce then that would be good. Failing that there is not much else I can do. Oh well, I'm seeing my tutor tomorrow, hopefully he can come up with something.

No cake today  And the bacon and eggs on toast doesn't count as it was all locally-produced and free range

I was going to suggest seeing your tutor: what about a dissertation on the reasons why the seedlings failed to take? :cuppa:
