That's good, Potsy, hopefully it will stay put.
I've never been happy about the design of disc brake set ups that cause the axle to pull out that then needs lawyer lips to reduce the compensation payout risk.
What you need is horizontal dropouts on the front forks, open at the front edge obviously, to prevent the whole problem being an issue. This is my idea and I stake my claim on it so no stealing it.

Just had a tea and pondering stuff made of pastry and dried fruit pretending to be ground up meat.:hungry:

 Now he tells me! Ok, come on down ... but I'm not paying your train fare
Mmm 200 miles @10mph err.. err.. :bicycle:
Tell you what,as you've already arranged it with the landlords.. :giggle:

Todays bike fettling included a wipe down with an old rag, a squirt of oil on the chain and a slight adjustment on the brakes.
Think that deserves a mince pie :mrpig:

Don't you have showers and baths were you are? You could at least buy youself a proper flannel instead of that rag for your ablutions.
Why have 2 flannels when one can do both jobs?

NT- Another question for you, would it do any harm to clamp my front light onto the bars with the brake outer cable inbetween?
Tried it last night and it didn't seem to affect braking performance and would be easier to mount my lights this way as I have 'sissy levers' so there isn't much room left on the bars.
The lights are Hope's with this kind of clamp-

I take it you mean with the cable outer passing through the clamp?

So long as there isn't enough clamping pressure to crush the outer and there is still enough slack for the outer to move as you steer then why not.
Just avoid clamping the outer in a position that kinks the cable route.

Yes I did mean that NT, was worried about the clamping force crushing the cable like you say, not sure how much they can withstand before it affects anything.
Cable route should be fine as it's the part of the cable that runs quite flush to the bars anyway, just before it goes under the bar tape.
Thanks.

I think the light clamp is plastic so it won't be very strong.
The cable outer, in the middle of a length is quite strong. You can try crushing an off cut with pliers if you like to see how strong it is.
