I'm out to a friend's for dinner tonight. It should be lasagne as we were discussing, earlier, the ingredients he needs to buy before the shops shut. Not 100% sure if it is still going to be lasagne though.

I also delivered a piece of commissioned jewellery to him for his sister's Christmas present. We debated the price a bit as he kept trying to offer me more money for it. She is an internationally sucessful cello player/soloist so I am just happy for her to show it off.

On the plus side, I've cleaned the bikes. Not to Ian's standards, I admit, but they're no longer a disgrace.

I'm having a pasty bought at the station, partly to recover from the shock of finding that the train half an hour earlier than my normal one actually had empty seats, as opposed to barely standing room...

No actually - kept to the main road as I looked like a bog monster from Friday's ride home Well you've beat me - I'll be short of 5000 miles !
