Night Train

Maker of Things
I'm not at rehearsals tonight.

I am too tired and too drained to put in the required effort. I think I have come to a decision. I will ask the director to return a book she borrowed next Monday and then when I have it I will tell her that this is my last show and I am resigning. I don't mind whether I contine on the stage or building the stage but I will only do one or the other.

I did get some plumbing done this afternoon. The old bathroom is now devoid of plumbing, except for the radiator pipes, and there is a new hot and cold supply to the new bathroom and laundry area with isolation valves on for the time being.
I had a bit of a leak with one of the old pipe joints which took a bit of effort to sort out so I ran out of time to spend on the heating pipes. I will probably shut the system down tomorrow and do it then.

I now have :cuppa: and no cake.

Well done on the decision, and the plumbing. If the prospect of losing you makes the director sit up and take notice, you may be able to alter your decision, and by giving notice you're not letting people down. If she throws a strop and doesn't want you for this production, then you did all you could to accommodate them, and she's biting off her nose to spite her face.

Good progress with the plumbing!

I've discovered that Mamma Mia is on ITV. I expect it's terribly trashy, and I never saw it at the cinema, but I've remembered that it has not only Colin Firth in it, but also Pierce Brosnan, so it makes the television screen VERY decorative...

I have :cuppa: and the very last of my coffee creams.

Cheers!

I am going to watch Mamma Mia on +1 as I am currently watching Wall-E.

Arch, you may have Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. I will stick with Stellan Skarsgard. :girl:

I have seen the film, not trashy exactly, but fun. I would like to be Meryl Streep. ^_^

Ah, that's the other one. Yes, he's nice, but you may keep him.

We had a joke at uni that my PhD supervisor looked like he could have been Pierce Brosnan's older, more studious brother. Especially when Pierce was Bond, and wore glasses as a disguise. Someone actually mentioned this to Terry once, and he said "Oh yes, my sons always say that. Mind you, we're both originally from the same part of Ireland...."

And apparently Colin Firth's parents live near my sister. She's seen him a few times. First time, she rang everyone of her girl friends to tell them.

It is fun. I mean, who can resist singing along to Abba?

And live on a Greek Island.

Stellan Skarsgard is Scandinavian, :hyper: and has a lovely voice. Never mind the big boat to go Island hopping.

I got caught by a sidewind as I was cycling over the bridge going over the M5 and for one nasty second thought I was going to picked up and dropped over the side. Luckily all I did was a great big wobble but it wasn't very much fun at all.

At the moment here I wouldnt fancy the chances of been able to stay vertical walking never mind cycling and the rain is that kind of rain that soaks you as soon as you step outside.

I am glad I went out this morning for a :bicycle: at least it was only rain I had to deal with then, I reckon the wind is the strongest I have ever heard it since I moved in here 16 years ago.
