The wind's picked up here again, am hoping that today's planned ride gets postponed and we go somewhere much closer to home instead.

Woke up this morning to a howling gale. 2 panels of aour shared garden fence blown over. It's our neighbours side and needed replacing anyway.

No commute for me today luckily as I have to get a train *shudder* later today for a meeting in town.

I live on the top of a hill. The wind is howling straight over the Malverns, and is very extremely absolutely strong. I will remain indoors, as I do not like ruffled feathers. As you will know, wols do not like blustery days.

"Piglet! Is that you?" said Pooh
"Yes" said Piglet
"Where are you?" said Pooh
"Underneath", said Piglet, in an underneath sort of way.
"Underneath what?" said Pooh
"You!" said Piglet, "Get off!"

I seem to recall that conversation happened on an Very Windy Day at Wols house.

Windy here too. I don't think anyone will be using the rooftop garden picnic table for lunch...

Was that the blusterous day when Wols' tree fell over?

Was probably the worst ride home this morning I've ever had, difficult as you would expect into the wind but, it was the side-winds that sprang up without warning that really scared me
I then had hail stone coming straight at me at about 30mph which hurts, my shortcut thru the park almost ended in a fall as the 'puddle' I posted a pic of last week is now 3 times the size and 3times as deep :rain:got halfway thru it and it had a current that forced me to put a foot down (Eww) and take to the grass.

Only good thing was due to the time of day it was fairly quiet traffic wise, wouldn't want to be in rush hour in that weather.

Sun is out now and the wind is supposedly easing off later (no sign of that yet)

Tea and toast for breakfast :cuppa::hungry:
