Something not right in here today, there have been numerous mentions of the wind and people nearly getting 'blown off', and Phil hasn't started with the jokes yet
Hope him and his £3 bike are OK.

Night Train

Maker of Things
Tired, tired, tired, and achey.

The day started with Dad running around in a panic as he had dropped his Bosch cordless drill into a 240l wheelie bin that was full of water as a water butt. I had to fish it out with a short handled garden hoe so my hands were frozen. After a warm up I stripped the drill and dried it before placing all the bits on a radiator to dry.

Then I switched off my boiler and drained the top floor radiators and plumbing. I spent the afternoon reorganising the plumbing for two of the radiators that needed moving. One of the radiators was being replaced with another one from my stock of old radiators but I didn't have any brackets for it. In the workshop to make a new pair and then to hang the thing on the wall. One of the pipes then lined up in front of the point in the wall where the old bathroom waste pipes went through the brick wall. So break out the bit of wall and cut back the pipes to the outer leaf of bricks and then mix some morter and brick up the hole.
Back to fitting the radiator and all the plubing is lined up and soldered in place. The remove the radiator again so the wall can be patch plastered later.

I have just refilled the system and fired up the boiler. I have checked for leaks and none so far. Will check again later when all the pipes are hot, and then bleed the radiators again.

:cuppa: now and a bit of chocolate I think.
I won't do any work tomorrow as I need a rest now to recover some strength and energy. I will just tidy up todays work and tools.

I have realised something wonderful. Pringles actually class as fruit. No, hear me out....a tomato is a vegetable which is often mistaken for a fruit (or is it a fruit, and often mistaken for a vegetable? anyway, I digress...) SO..........if a potato (said not in a Keith Lemon way^_^) should be mistaken for a fruit too that would make Pringles on the same level as an apple:biggrin:
I rest my case Mlud.

But you're over complimacating it! Potatapoes are vegetable anyway...

I like your thinking though. It's thinking like that that got me to 1 chocolate eclair = 4 portions.

(cocoa = a bean = fruit. Choux pastry = flour + butter. Flour = wheat = grass = vegetable. Butter = milk = grass = vegetable. Cream filling = grass = vegetable. <meerkat 'simples'!>
