I won't do any work tomorrow as I need a rest now to recover some strength and energy. I will just tidy up todays work and tools.

I cleared my Velo Vision desk today, my last day there. Made off with a scanner and two Bromptons - but the scanner was mine, and the Bromptons are plastic model kits....

I'm just watching Earthflight and saw the most amazing slow-mo shot of a shark leaping out of the water, to catch a seal. Every time I see a new BBC wildlife series, I'm boggled by the filmwork. I've always been a bit doubtful of HDTV, I reckon the quality of the picture is getting better than most people's eyes, but some of these shots must be stunning on a really big, clear screen.

Later I'm going to watch Eternal Law on ITV. I think it'll be a bit crap, but bits of it were filmed in York, so I'm going to spot landmarks. I don't think I managed to be in shot at any stage though!

I guess it's the illicit snacking aspect? Like it's naughty food, instead of proper.

We used to have them spread with marg and honey, like really thick crumbly toast....

Not even illicitly, I was just taking a bite of one before it went in the bowl, tasted fine, added milk and it was like eating wall paper paste.

The time limit for eating weetabix with milk is approx 6 seconds.

But that's the illicitness (illiticity?) of it. You were meant to eat it with milk, but you took a crafty nibble.

Other food rules include toast always tastes better if someone makes it for you, and tinned tomato soup with plastic white bread is often much more comforting than hand crafted varieties.

Might be better if the Weetabix was served dry with a cup of milk for a momentary dunk before each bite.

Basic tinned tomato soup with bread is much more comforting then the nice varieties, especially the ones with basil, Tomato soup with basil is better for special occasions when trying to impress others.
