Do I have a conunundrum for peeps in Tea?

:addict:

Long story short

I told Person X the truth about about something that will occur in the next week or two.

Person A has told me that they will be livid and/or go ballistic if they find out that Person X has been told the truth.

This is because Person A is convinced that Person X will not use their professional judgement if they know the truth.
Person A would prefer that Person X was told a load of untruths, and lies.

This is the complicated bit. Person X will, in my opinion, use their professional judgement.

Knowing that Person A thinks I should have told multiple lies, do I need to bother what Person A thinks?

If the sh!t hits the fan, do I bother to speak to person A ever again?

Answers on a postcard please.

Easy answer, no. Though pushing someone off a cliff doesn't have to involve speaking, so you've also got that option available to you.

:cuppa:? I certainly need one after all the excitement that Baggy's brought into the tea room.

Well, you're obviously not that bothered what person A thinks, as you've already told person X the truth! It sounds to me as if person A is the one who's not using their professional judgement.

Baggy - I had not realised the extent to which Person A wants to conceal the truth.

Person A has often been a complete pain in the bum, as shall I say, they can be "economical with the truth". Person A has yet to realise that if you do not tell people the truth, it can have very serious repercu repper consequences.

It could be very interesting to find out if Person A ever finds out it was me who told Person X.

I will then have to admit it was me. Then Person A goes ballistic ...... and er..... ????
Person A then looks like a twerp lying twerp, with paranoid tendencies.

To be honest ;) Phil, no. After thinking about it, if they expected me to tell lies, and will go ballistic if they find out I have not told lies, then I really do not see that Person A and I can remain on speaking terms.

I just popped over to see what potsy and Phil said about yesterday's ride. I have one question ...

That is my left leg in the background. I know that I was having a few problems with my right leg yesterday but it didn't actually fall off, so where is it!

Exactly! It won't stop you worrying about it, but i think you've taken the right approach (even if it might have been a bit inadvertent!).
