I've just had an afternoon of OCD heaven, sorting NT's tin of mixed up electrical connectors into separate compartments of some small boxes. Had to stop when I rang out of compartments. Kept me quiet for a while though.

Feeling much more human now I've had a bath, put on my PJs and settled down with more and a couple of slices slabs of chocolate brownie

Absolutely no sign of the rain easing up here. The river at the bottom of the lane has burst its banks - am feeling quite relieved that my landlords' farm is at the top of a hill.

Oh, I forgot, earlier on, as the gales rattled the whole house, we heard the dulcet tones of an ice cream van going by....

The ice cream man drove into this street yesterday at about 6pm. So I bought a choc mint thingy a bit like a Cornetto, and put in the freezer for my dessert.

There is enough blue sky here to make a pair of trousers for a sailor.

I hope it was a very short sailor, and the seamstress worked very quickly - it is now grey and raining again, heavily again. I live at the top of a small hill, but the end of my garden is waterlogged.

The sky here is now several shades of grey, as opposed to the single dull shade it's been all day....

I wouldn't say any of those shades are blue though....
