I just updated a credit card on my mobile broadband PAYG account. After the bit to alter the dates, it asked for an issue number (for HSBC Maestro cards only). As I was changing the details on a Mastercard, I left this blank and clicked submit.

So I got an error message saying 'You must enter a 2 digit issue number'.

Eventually, I discovered that 00 is an acceptable compromise....
