I am feeling better today and would be nicer company if Arch wanted to come back over!;)
:cuppa: drunk but still ponder if it is worth having breakfast before lunch comes around. In the meantime I am trying to dry out the bottom edge of my copy of Velovision. I dropped it into the bath and it managed to sweep up all the drops of water in the bottom of the bath.

Anyone seen Jo about? She seems to have gone quiet again.

Good that you're feeling better NT, must have been all the cake you ate at weekend, always knew it was good for you

I feel better myself today after a good sleep, 1st night is always tough until I get back into the routine.

I'm going to be in Thetford, Norfolk, on 4th July for an Interview. Anyone fancy tea/cake/something stronger when I'm there as I have a feeling that I may have time to kill before travelling back to the big smoke.

I shall bake another cake this evening I think.:hungry::mrpig:

:bravo:

Mind you, I don't suppose there'll be much of it left by Friday.

I took the Victoria Sponge into work, and it got demolished. Everyone said it was really nice.

I think I might have mistakenly come home to Afghanistan. There are two helicopters overhead, doing slow loops of the city centre. The Torch is up at the racecourse, but they seem to be keeping a close eye on town too.

It starts tomorrow morning at 7.45 from about a quarter of a mile away from my flat. I suspect I'll be awake early, listening to the thwocka-thwocka-twocka overhead....

:cuppa:?

I shall have another one baked for Friday.

I'm glad work liked the cake, it isn't easy taste testing it in advance without it showing.

Ah, well, I did sort of manage that....

(I had to cut it into two semicircles, and slice one level on top, in order to sandwich it. This left me with a thin dome shaped slice to, um, tidy away)
