I am just passing through for a :cuppa:

I have girded my lions, grabbed the bull by the horns, and am tidying up/sorting/decluttering in a BIG way. Any visitors to Speicher towers will be under the impression that some sort of explosive device had exploded here. Why is it that when you try and tidy up, it is impossible to do so without creating ninety-two times more mess?

I have allocated ten days for the tidying.

The garage/recycling depot will no doubt end up in even more mess. (Is that possible I ask myself.)

The good news is that all my cuttings and seedlings and baby plants are loving this humid weather. ^_^ I was reliably informed that jumbo* lolly sticks make good plant labels, cos if they break, they can be put in the compost bin. I cannot imagine that in a month of Sundays I would consume the required quantity of lolly for a suffienciency of plant labels, so unfortunately I have had to purchase some, though I was given some on Wednesday to try out for size.

Jumbo is descriptive of the lolly stick and not the lolly.

Over the past decade lots of things have ended up in this house from several other relatives houses, when they died. :sad:Some of it needs to go to a good home, and some of it needs to be recycled ie electrical stuff. I have been putting similar things together for distributing to where ever they need to go. Also shredded 92 thousand pieces of paper. I have also put all the fabric together, measured so I know what I have. All the old clothes are now together, so I can sort them into good ones for charity shops, and less good ones for recycling.

In the past as fast as faster than I could sort the stuff out, I would gain more from different directions. I hate throwing anything away, so the process somewhat ground to a standstill, and two rooms were looking very very clutterised. Unlike some members of today's throw away society, I am a fully committed make-do-and-mend person. ^_^ I use the word "committed" in its broadest sense. This is way tidying this summer may take ten days. Furthermore, under no circumstances whatsoever, for any reason, will any, even the smallest item be accepted into this house from anyone else's home, with the exception, of course, of edible items. ^_^
