The director of the film apparently got bored and wrapped it up in 30 seconds which can be summarised thus ... 'OMG - the triffid is going to get her! Oh look, the desperate hunky guy is trying to save her by spraying it with sea water, like that is going to work! Oh - it did! So people round the world got their garden sprays out, dissolved the triffids and the Earth was saved! The End.'

Shaun (bromptonfb) just texted me to invite me to join him and Pennine-Paul on mud clearance duties but I am hiding in case it rains again!

Actually, I didn't sleep well last night so I want a snooze after brunch. Perhaps I will get out this evening, weather-permitting.

I am off on a test ride soon, only a few miles though, don't want to stray too far from home in case my fettling skills weren't up to it
There are signs of it drying up here

It's a bit dull and cloudy again but it is a nice fresh breeze blowing.
Arch has been vacuuming after making a mess with some PU foam (Kingspan).

* I am fairly confident that things will return to normal tomorrow. Some of the shops will still be closed, and the nearest 26 hour supermarket and the nearest W H Smith will still be twenty minutes' drive away! Buses will still give way to cars occasionnally, and people will still leave their bikes unlocked in the High Street, confident that said bike will still be there when they return.
