Evenings!!!
Just back from Heathrow, and been experimenting with fuel economy. At a steady 65 mph (set with the cruise control) I was seeing about 65 mpg. At 55 mph, it was over 70 mpg. The last time I saw that kind of economy was in a 1000 cc Fiat Uno, with about 50 BHP. This thing is twice the size and has three times as much power. You can colour me impressed with a modern turbo diesel.
Right. Brew required. Anyone for :cuppa:?

Ponder no more!!

Just watching a friend's flight on FlightRadar.
It's very cool, being able to see where the plane is.
I'm easily pleased...

Morning! :cuppa: ?

Just back from the physio, this time with a red rubber band! Same exercises as before but twice the reps and twice as many times a day!
Apparently the consultant I saw last time in the fracture clinic was a physio consultant, hence still not being allowed out of the boot for weight bearing and strengthening exercises.
Never mind, my physio thinks I am doing really well.

She says 'You must be working out and doing the exercises when you are not here to have so much improvement, most people don't do anything when they get home! You started with good flexibility and you seemed to have managed to maintain and get that back quickly.'.
Can't everyone bend over and put their palms flat on the floor and their forehead on their knees, with straight legs ?

I wonder why? At infants and primary school we always did stretching as part of PE and then kept it up as part of growing up.

Anyway, I had a go with the new red rubber band that was supposed to be a bit harder to stretch. It isn't, it is easier. I might measure the stretch rate later and compare.

Has anyone noticed the change in advertising on More4 on Freeview?
What was originally a 1 hr programme without adverts was shown as a 1 hr programme with adverts I understood that. But now it is a 50 minute programme with adverts followed by a 10 minute advert at the end!
Wheres the content gone? Granted there probably wasn't a lot of content in the repeats but still...
I can imagine it won't be too long before there are snippets of programme between the hour long adverts, each with a recap and a preview of the programming.

I always assumed most people could touch their toes, at the very least, and that children certainly would be able to.
Then I did a series of tennis sessions with infant school children and was shocked to realise that less than 10% of them actually could.

But they could all text and work an ipad?^_^

I just hate the adverts. We've got a Sky+ box and I tend to pause every programme I watch at the beginning for 10 mins then I can fast forward through the adverts.
I generally record the programmes I want to watch and then fast forward the adverts. However, at the moment I am getting through a lot of daytime TV as background noise.

Morning all.....:cuppa: for me.

Hope you sleep well

Speicher, how was the steak? What did you have for dessert?

By the way, did I just read a very rude post from a man with a very strange name? :shy:

I had Salsa Chicken, with chips and salad. Dessert was "Melt in the middle Chocolate sponge" with ice cream. ^_^

I do not know, did you just read a very rude post?
:secret: Was it about Union Jack underpants?
