It was opposite the Merry Harriers pub at the top of Angersleigh Hill. Or, for thems of you wot don't live in these parts, here.

And, erm, "playing"? It was switched on, if that's what you mean?

I was planning a ride today but it's , so sat inside with . Was nice yesterday though & I got out to the steam rally.



The roller was the late Fred Dibnah's. It's now owned and rallied by his sons.
The Foden steam bus I thought was unusual. It was apparently converted from a lorry for use at Foden's works.
The little Tasker traction engine is called "The Horses' Friend" and was bought by a couple of old ladies who were upset by how hard it was for horses to get their loads up a hill by their home. The engine was used to pull the loads up instead.
Finally, a Shrewsbury made Sentinel DG4 waggon in the colours of a Shrewsbury based firm; Morris & Company. This vehicle was featured on Salvage Squad.

Something new this year was a "Wall of Death". Something you've got to experience to really appreciate.

I did take a couple of pictures & they aren't great but basically it's one of these:

The motorcyclist builds up speed and when he's going fast enough drives the bike up the wall. Then does tricks like riding side saddle with no hands No helmet you'll notice.

Once he got going I couldn't get a photo - it happens too fast for my little camera. The finale was having two riders racing each other round the wall. Very exciting.
