I think it's just old age NT, she sleeps on the cabin bed upstairs, by the time she has flung her self off that it's to late to get to her litter tray down stairs. We will ban her from that room and see how she goes, but if she starts doing it in some other place we may have to consider our options. 18 years is a good innings for a cat I think. Not a good thought but with the added cost of £80 for 100 thyroid tablets and £18 every two weeks for kidney tablets the cost of keeping her alive is mounting up.

She's had a damn good life since she adopted you! You can be proud of that.

I guess the question is, if you were in her position, would you want to carry on? I know it's impossible to tell what she's thinking, but I know that if I got to a comparable age and needed pills to keep me alive, I'd want to slip away.

I had an appraisal today. My boss, who is dyslexic, admitted that when typing up his remarks (based on what I'd put on my form), he'd described my cheery can-do attitude () as a 'moral boot' instead of morale boost...

I quite like the idea of having a moral boot. I think I'll borrow NT's boot and stick improving bible passages to it....

would be nice thank you. My auntie died yesterday, she went without food and water for five days before she went. I wouldn't want to be put to sleep instead of suffering that. It is not a nice way to die, hence why I didn't want to go and see her in that state.

Just seen this from my cousin
I thought that life couldnt get any worse but the hospital phoned me today and said that they will have to do a post mortem.
They suspect foul play and/or negligence either by The Royal Bolton or Salford Royal.

When will hospitals start seeing that they are treating patients not commodities or balance sheets. It looks like my Auntie Joan would have still been with us if she received the proper care. My Auntie was 84 if they gave her the right care she would have recovered from this cancer. Instead they treated her with radio therapy instead of removing the tumour. They then just passed her on from pillar to post, until it became secondary tumour in her lungs and then they did very little to help, until they starved her to death. This is not good.

It's not the first time this happened they messed up with a friend of mine too.

I just had an unusual bike parked next to me on the train. I'll try and post photos later but when I asked the chap what it was he started rambling on about loads of weird stuff, like stopping the rain with the power of the mind and not wearing glasses because of using an ebay product to get out of the 'sickness industry'. I wished I kept my mouth shut.

His bike had a Rolhoff hub though, and he normally rides barefoot.

So, I rode Tiddles today.
I set off unprepared for a 1/4 mile ride to my local station and got the train. Then at York I rode to Arch's flat, dumped my bag and set off to meet Arch at work.
That surprised her!
We then rode back to her flat.
Probably only 3 miles and a bit.

My left leg was fine but I can't put it down when I stop as I can't hold myself upright on my toes. That mant I needed to set off pushing on the pedal left footed. No more speedy 'get aways', slow gentle up to about 6mph is all I am really doing now. I only got up to 3rd once, by accident.

But I am cycling!

I am saddle sore though, and very very unfit!
