I think it's just old age NT, she sleeps on the cabin bed upstairs, by the time she has flung her self off that it's to late to get to her litter tray down stairs. We will ban her from that room and see how she goes, but if she starts doing it in some other place we may have to consider our options. 18 years is a good innings for a cat I think. Not a good thought but with the added cost of £80 for 100 thyroid tablets and £18 every two weeks for kidney tablets the cost of keeping her alive is mounting up.![]()
She's had a damn good life since she adopted you! You can be proud of that.
I guess the question is, if you were in her position, would you want to carry on? I know it's impossible to tell what she's thinking, but I know that if I got to a comparable age and needed pills to keep me alive, I'd want to slip away.
