Well, the good news is that I've only put on a few pounds over the last five weeks.....so the eclipse should be a minor one. The bad news is that Rocky Minor and Rocky Minimus have drunk all the :cuppa: and eaten all the biskits in the house.......so I'm just going out on a shopping trip.

Drag Jo and Potsy out of there will you:ohmy:

Thanks.....I'm quite pleased to be back in Blighty. The jet lag is a bit of a problem  but usually disappears after a day or so.

Grrrrrrr.....they did not record it. I'll have a look in BBC iPlayer, I think the 4 episodes are there. Don't tell me what happened
What happened?? Er, hang on he ate a lot, drank a lot and looked cool: as for that nutty colonello from 'allo'allo... what a lotta mistakas to make...

:secret: Inspector Montalbano is :girl: and is sometimes seen topless. :smooch:
OOOohhh  you mean "do not tell you about the plot"?

I also watched "Lilyhammer" last week, and that was good, so far. It is on BBC4, Tuesday at 10 pm ish, just before the repeat of Montalbano. It is in Norwegian and English.

Sadly I don't have any Luca-type photos to post here. Mrs R forbade me from taking an early swim in the sea and then breakfasting on a single, very strong, espresso. I don't quite do Italian, yet

Oh dear, perhaps she was worried about you losing your swimming costume in the sea. :becool:

I can guess that you had breakfast before going for a swim, and that your breakfast was not insignificant.

Well, we're back in.... <checks out of the window>... Manchester.

I'm :tired: from driving, but we're watching Dr Who, and drinking :cuppa:...

Later we'll unload the rather eclectic load from the car, viz, one part recumbent trike, one large gem stone tumbler, one Brompton and one Velux window.

Oh dear, Rocky! :giggle:

In a previous life I once had to work on a fairly lengthy article about Max Blanck and the origins of Quantum Physics. I was translating it from German into English. ^_^

More recently, I :addict: a very long and complex e-mail. Emblazoned on the inside of my brain, is a now reminder to save a draft of any long and complex e-mails. This avoids :banghead::crazy: :crazy: if the puter just happens to crash at an inopportune moment.

:cuppa:

Well, that wasn't a very good way to stay awake. The boys recorded a programme on the universe, the big bang and string theory by Stephen Hawking. I managed 10 minutes before I fell asleep. Oh dear, I'll never make a particle physicist.
:stop:
Dont make mountains out of molehills...........instead of saying i pusehed the ball-so it moved.......you'll end up saying......the force exerted by my body caused the change in state from rest to motion and the body will continue to remain in motion as a result of inertia of motion until i stop it which will cause it to remain in the inertia of rest

And are they all going to fit together in NT's next project? I wonder what he is building? ^_^

An electric house on wheels....

We did cause some consternation when we were overheard discussing the logistics of getting the trike in the car, and it involved the phrase "We can take the window out..."

(The window was brought to our give-and-take day at St Nicks, back in June, and is destined for the new bathroom).
