Just had a terrible interview at the Uni. I did state in my application that I have not done any sports turf work, and that my gardening knowledge was not good. I got asked what the seed application rates would be for patching up a sports field. How would you prepare a cricket pitch for a match in 5 days time, and what type of grass seed to use. I have never had to state before that I just didn't know during an interview. Result, it was a very short interview. There was no way I could turn that one round.

I've been crying since I came home, it's the worst year of my life. I feel useless and my 2:1 means nothing. Why do people invite someone for an interview to humiliate you?

You aren't useless at all Gromit. A 2:1 says otherwise. Keep trying

First time today, I looked out out at the cold clammy fog and didn't want to go out for a ride. So have drunk tea and had to much cake to console myself. Even the shiny new Triban couldn't tempt me out!

I can reassure @colinj that I too have been today, had an apple and a pear, and am having a low fat yoghurt for pudding instead of the more recent phenomenon of Magnum ice cream
