We've done more plastering, and I managed to get some of the plaster on the wall, as well as on my fleece, my trousers and in my hair...

I'm still a bit prone to beginner's luck - you know, you get a bit that goes really well, really smoothly on, and then the next bit you try to put on the mortar board misses and goes all over the floor.

Still, it's a start!

I say, Arch, have you been being ...unpleasant to dear old Crankers?
Your post on his thread is not nice. Almost as not nice as mine...
Plastering is a difficult skill IME.
Fortunately my place has somewhat rough looking plaster anyhow, but I may as well just dab it on in handfuls and smooth it out with my fingers.
It'd probably look better if I did.

Not nice perhaps, but when was he ever nice? To anyone, as far as I can tell. And apparently unable to see consequences.

Anyway, plastering, it's kinda fun! A bit messy, in my hands, but I was quite enjoying the feeling of getting a tiny bit better as I went along. Need stronger arms though, it's not easy holding the board and float up all the time.

So, a little bit more bonding, and a final skim and a few bits and pieces, and the room will be at a decorating stage. Still part of a building site, but a step forwards!

We're going to open a bottle of wine for the evening, as soon as NT is out of the shower.
