I found a dead toad a few days ago. Should I bury it, or do birdies like three day old dead toad?

There is also a new Polish shop here. I bought a packet of little gingerbread (covered with chocolate) biscuits, and some sort of nutty fluffy chocolate covered small bars. The shop owner does not speak much English, so it is a bit challenging to know what I was buying.

Cover it lightly with leaf litter, let the bugs and beasties get to it. The toad. not the Polish food!

Sunny here, but cold. Off out for a coffee later. There's a nice chap has a little van with an expresso machine in the back who sets up in the precinct, and we like to support him, in the absence of a Nero ot suchlike. It does mean sitting outside though - wrap up warm!

Done for the day, up at 5.40ish, two hours work, visit to the farmers market, pick up Lullabelle, do lunch, pack the freezer with loads of meat, clean the cooker, go to shops to get wine. Done!

At least I've now got the Christmas day roast, a brilliant 2 bone Forerib of Longhorn beef, 28 day hung. It's great having a tame farmer
