It was very cold and frosty at 6.30am, not much fun for TVC to defrost the car, the factory was very cold, work 7am until 12, lunch with TVC, cleaned the lounge and bedroom. Both have had a very busy day, bol for dinner, wine and choc for later then crash out for the night. We want to lie in tomorrow :tired:

We've been round to a neighbour and taken away three of his doors.

By arrangement, of course, they were spares from when he had the house divided into flats. Now, we have bedroom and bathroom and guest room doors for upstairs.

Then we started some insulation and plaster boarding, and I've been demonstrating my total inability to hit a nail straight, or hold a drill up higher than my shoulders.

Just stopped for :cuppa: and a bun.

Arch did very well.
It is not easy holding a 7'x4' sheet of plasterboard up on a sloping ceiling pushed up against rockwool and in the correct position. The board had to be test fitted twice first to get the shape right so it was held up three times before enough fixings were in place to support its weight.

Looks good though.

Oh dear, Seryth, I suspect we have all been there before. Hope it clears up soon.

You'll have to become a couch potato and watch the footie on the TV. More cake?
Thanks! Yeah, I have had to be a bit of a couch potato recently...I'm having dreams about cycling too, *sigh*.
Yes please! :hungry:

Got the other side insulated and plaster boarded, and we're both shattered now. It's hard work, working above your head the whole time. At least this side I found I could support the board hands-free by standing up the ladder and jamming my head against it! Although when NT was nailing it up, it felt a bit like :banghead:

Still, we've done well. Another step closer to getting it all done!
