Day off today, and I do have to go out to pick up something from the sorting office that had insufficient postage on it, so I've got to pay £1.19 to get it. I bet it's a slightly fat or oversized card.

And it's raining:rain:

To be fair, we did lie in quite late, so breakfast was at around midday!

NT was on compulsory relaxing this weekend, because of all the hard work he's doing during the week. So letting him doze late was important.

Rather nice breakfast, at a cafe I'd not been to before, and which was recommended to me last night by one of our volunteer rangers.

He's on his way home now, I'm on my own on a Sunday evening for the first time in 6 months or so.

Excellent plan Arch. R 'n R is important. Well fed and rested - you'll be able to crack the whip some more now

Just had the carpet man come and measure up. I'm expecting a quote for a huge amount:sad: . Mrs 26's ideas can be expensive

Also had a "new" washing machine arrive during carpet man's measuring. "New" as in hardly used 2nd hand. £100 did the deal. It only has one water input thingy. Do I attach hot or cold to that :scratch: (no manual came )
My Crystal Ball sees a googling coming up. But first :cuppa:

Ironically, I don't crack the whip at all, if anything I'm pulling back on the reins. Once NT gets stuck into a job, he just keeps going...

I'm just back from the sorting office. Had to pick up a card that had insufficient postage. Recognised it from a very artistic friend who always makes a big effort with cards, but this must have just been too bulky to fit through the standard letter slot. Got it home, opened it, lovely little flatpacked origami box, containing a lucky sixpence. Lovely thought, if only I hadn't had to pay £1.19 for it!

Anyway, called at Mr £wich on the way home, and treated myself - two sandwiches!
