Beef rendang and a glass of beer for us

Tomorrow we are going up north to TVC's family for a couple of days. His family is rather large and it can get very noisy when all get together. Great fun though

We will be within spitting distance of Colly, Postman and Vernon. I would get closer, but they keep spitting.

The actor playing Matthew Whatsisface turned his back on the 4th series and wants to stay in the USA to further his career, while Maggie Smith couldn't agree her contract terms eh?
Fear not they've signed up Barbara Windsor as the new cook....

I do not like dramas very much either, but Downton Abbey is the exception. @Wocky, I prefer Robin Windsor.

We've had tea (well, NT had coffee), and we're almost ready to start making the great Bubble and Squeak breakfast.

We did have to nip out yesterday to buy more sprouts for the Bubble and Squeak!*

We also popped into Homebase to get some electrical bits to fix some dodgy wiring on some lamps that were in Arch's Mum's bedroom. While there we also nipped into Halfords, next door, to have a quick look for any bargains in the sale bin. A side from joking about with various car bits and tat, I found a Brompton sized inner tube, 16x1 3/8", marked down from £4.99 to £3. I figured it was worth having.

At the checkout the woman at the til put it through and said: "That will be 25p please"
Me: "Are you sure?"
Till: "Yes 25p."
Me: "OK. Got any more?"
Arch: "Best not push your luck...."

So 25p for a Brompton inner tube. Thank you Halfords!
