I've been out for a 23 mile ride on the Thorn Nomad. It was dry but there was a very strong wind which nearly had me off a couple of times. There was a time when I could do that distance in an hour......now it takes me nearly 2 hours. I must be weak from my diet

It's now started to :rain:
It's carrying Plum Pud in the back pocket Rocky - makes the hills harder

Having undergone the somewhat radical and extremely unpleasant 'DVT/Pulmonary Embolism diet' this summer, I have no desire to now spend a week on the dreaded 'Norovirus diet'!

I saw an old friend of mine over Christmas who does maintenance work for the NHS in the Midlands. He wasn't feeling very happy with one particular Trust (or whatever they call them these days). He'd been working at a clinic and had been sent in to an empty room to do some odd jobs. 30 minutes later, a nurse stuck her head round the corner and asked why he wasn't wearing protective clothing. There had been a Norovirus outbreak there the week before but nobody had warned him ...

When he got up the next morning to go to work, he 'exploded' and ended up losing 4 pounds in a week, 2 pounds from each end! xx(

Enjoy your coffee and shortbread while you can!

Step-sprogette plus husband and dog are up for NY. I'm trying to persuade them that locking the hound in the kitchen (canine, not husband!) and going out for a meal this evening is an alternative to taking the dog for a walk in the rain, rather something to do afterwards!
