Ahem. What are the two coloured creatures at the bottom doing?

That's what I meant. We hope one of them is trying to catch and eat the other...

6 hours into my day and I am exhausted.:tired:

Got my shopping done, though not without a lot of .
The room is 2.45m x 2.6m. B&Q skirting boards were 2.4m long.
The door liner is 2.11m tall. B&Q architrave is 2.1m long.

I will be  over this to avoid too many splices with teeny tiny short bits of timber.

I also looked at window roller blinds and found a fabric I really quite liked, light with a pale grey leafy flowery motif.
However, it only comes in 1.6m long and the window needs a 1.81m drop inside the reveal.

That is a nice motif. Could it be extended in any way, by splicing in a band of contrasting fabric or something? Difficult to make it look deliberate, and not like a dodgy repair....

I'm on the train! :wahhey: We thought today might be really busy, but with one extra staff member, we were done by 2pm....

I have undercoated the skirtings, and architraves, door liner and window frame. May get a chance to top coat them tonight as it is water based paint.

Just had a :cuppa: and waiting for Arch to arrive.

There is specific bathroom and kitchen emulsion that is less prone to water staining and is wipe-able. Sorry for not being NT

Well, here's something we shouldn't let NT see.
It's how to make an arc welder from microwave oven transformers (!!) but the nice bit as far as we're concerned is part-way through.

The Swiss Army Teapot.
A teapot with screwdrivers and allen keys welded on.
Utter brilliance!! And utterly ridiculous...

How long is the pattern repeat on the fabric you NT likes?
Is there another window in the house with the same width, but not so tall as the the tall one?

If so, what about buying two blinds, and making the join at the very top, or the very bottom, depending on which bit of the blind you will see most.

I think you can buy kits for making your own blinds, but I know that time is important. I agree it is a delicate pattern.

That is what she was saying.

However, I 'should' get myself some work and earn some money. It isn't a preference as I would prefer not to but I will eventually loose my benefit income and then put undue financial stress on those I love.
I 'need' to feel useful without feeling like I am being used. I 'need' to sort my head out before it gets too much for me to deal with.

What I am saying is that right now I feel I should be getting myself in a position where I don't need to feel I should have to, and I need to get myself better before there is no more 'me' to get better.
Take the 'should' away and I will stop bothering. Take the 'need' away and I won't need therapy.
Argue semantics with me every time I open my mouth and I will walk away before I have got to the bottom of why I feel like this and nothing will be achieved.

Often I feel like I am hanging on [the edge of a cliff], just, by my finger tips and I could do with a rope throwing down, not a discussion about the type of rope or a lesson in tying knots.
"Just throw the bloody rope before I slip off!"

" Just hear me out before you tell me what you think of my vocabulary."
Chucking me out when I was about to  didn't help.

Sorry for that, really needed to vent a bit but had to hold it together to get the plastering done.
Done two walls and a ceiling. The other two walls can be done on Saturday.

:hugs:

Some folks have posted some useful thoughts NT. Here's a tuppence worth from me.

Good therapists may be challenging. Comforting is a short term fix but the long term fix may require you to change something - and that can be challenging to first accept and then to action.

Anyway :hugs:.

Have some :cuppa:
