I may have popped into Lakeland on the way up from the station, and an electric cake pop maker may have fallen into my basket,

Yes, yes I did. Although we did think that once any coating was set, you could just pile them up on a plate, Ferrero Rocher style.

And I got a piping bag to fill the sections, having seen that technique recommended online.

It's like a sandwich toaster - two heated plates with dimples for the cake mix that cook a batch of 6 in 4 minutes. You just keep refilling until the mix is used up. We worked out that it was much more energy efficient than putting the whole oven on and using a normal baking tin type thing.

Lots of people back to work today picking up from where they stopped work, the week before they officially finished for Christmas....

I am from having not slept much last night despite being exhausted.

has been consumed but a sleep on the sofa is calling. I have managed to fix the damage in the other guest room ceiling* this afternoon, not perfect but acceptable for the time being. A proper fix would need a 900x1200mm area of board replacing and then plastering over.


*Someone (pest control?) came into my loft through from next door to kill a wasps next and put their foot through the plaster boards.

I could have made a fuss but I didn't know when it happened, sometime when I was immobile with the ruptured Achillies. Also had I made a fuss I might have had the bill for the pest control chap.

I will need to get around to bricking up the party wall in the loft space. Something that should also have been done by the neighbouring landlord to meet fire regulations. I will just do it as it is easier then negotiating with them.
