Night Train

Maker of Things
Just back from the tip having got rid of the last of the bags of building rubble.

I have rewarded myself with a :cuppa: and a pecan Danish. At a bit of an anticlimax now, nothing left to do to prepare. I might have to do something else, like tidy the workshop and unearth the tractor from all the stuff piled in the entrance hall.

I have been room dressing.:thumbsup:

There is now a wicker chair, table lamp, three oriental style cat prints, a russet coloured rug, a large wooden turtle and a wooden duck in there. I've not hung the prints, only one is in a clip frame, but have chosen to leave them artistically propped up against the wall for now until I decide where I want to tap nails into the walls.

Granville, Ratrike, and The Creature have been consigned into storage for now.

What makes the better impression, I wonder, an electric tractor in the hall slight;y disguised by stuff, which becomes obvious gradually over the course of a week, or an in-your-face electric tractor in the hall, clear and resplendent for all to see....

I suspect the answer to this depends on one's definition of 'better impression'.... :giggle:

On other news. today was one of those days when we snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Lots of stress, but it came right in the end.

Suffice to say: cup of tea #1 was at 7.15 this morning. cup of tea #2 was at 4pm.

Cup of tea #3 currently being imbibed. :cuppa:

<flops onto sofa>
<remembers sofa covered in stuff>
<ouch>

I'm glad to hear about the menagerie, but are there any beds at all?:whistle:

:cuppa: for Arch.

I will have the tractor 'in ya face' I think! May as well start as I mean to go on.;)

The bed goes without saying. The single, that we stored on top of the double in the other room, is in there. I hate HATE HATE the tacky white metal headboard but for lack of time money and effort I will leave it, for now.

This is a totally outrageous suggestion, I know, but you could try sort of relaxing etc after all your hard work with the deadline looming. Yes, yes, its is a silly suggestion isn't it? :blush:

Today amongst other things, I have tidied the airing cupboard. :dance:
