By the way, I have put put my hand up....I'm rubbish in the kitchen and always feel slightly intimidated by those pictures that TVC and Lullabelle post

TBH when I cook I keep it simple, could not do what TVC does but then he enjoys cooking I don't, it is just that as we both work it seems only fair to share.

It would seem to have happened right on the set of points that cross all the west bound routes and so new points and track need to be made. In the meantime there are lots of delays. I thought it would be sorted but may well run into next weekend too.

Never mind, the tram's not a problem. Although I still wonder if walking would be quicker... No, not quite, but nearly!

I saw on Twitter that East Coast are accepting TransPennine passengers because of it. I'm at a loss to understand why, since East Coast don't go anywhere near Manchester...

I made shortbread once, following a recipe. It was far too sweet. The following time, with recommendation from a friend, I made it with just over half the sugar and it was a lot nicer.

For Chrismas my boss bought me a tin of the stuff despite the fact that I always refuse when she offers telling her that I don't like shortbread. TVC enjoyed it though, I think it smells of sick
