Afternoon all :hello:. I'm feeling very righteous - this morning I have: made :cuppa: in bed for Mrs R, cycled 37 miles, done two loads of washing and talked to No 1 son in the Philippines (note the one L just like Phil ).

I'm officially taking the rest of the day off. I've earned a big lunch and then will spend the rest of the day catching up with TVC (I think I need about 500 posts to do that)

only joking TVC.
You're not fooling me, I know what you are up to.

We are just off to Fosse Park to pick up a deep fat fryer, I have watched too much Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, and now have a hankerin' to do Southern fried chicken y'all.

Do you need one to travel outside Yorkshire?

 wash your mouth out

:giggle:

I had a binge and did some stuff that I kept meaning to do for years, so I did my CBT before xmas then I changed my 23 year old mouldy old parchment driving license for a new photo one and I have renewed my passport also.

While I had my last passport I only left the country once ( the only time I ever have how sad is that) and when I came back no one asked to see it :cursing:

Many moons ago, Mrs R and i decided to cycle to Paris. I got to Dover and found that I had an out of date passport. I had no trouble getting in to France (the immigration people at Calais were far more interested in my bike) or getting back into the UK (too lazy to ask).

I was quite suprised that the only person we saw from customs was holding open the door to let use through, now bear in mine this was 6:30am and the ferry was for a trip to Amsterdam and back ;)

Just finished giving the road bike a wipe down and check-up, just to make sure it's still in good working order, am hoping to get out in the morning for a 20-25 miler.
Not used it for 2-3 weeks since we got the bad weather.

:cuppa: would be good

My job this afternoon is to text updates on the rugby scores to No 1 son. As I've mentioned, he's a marine biologist in the Philippines (one L as in Phil) and is sitting in the local karaoke bar with a bottle of local beer in his hand. It's midnight there but he's not shifting till after the England Scotland match finishes.

I'm not a great lover of team sports but I guess it's the least I can do for him. By the way, the kettle is on :cuppa: anyone?

I have just found several huge boxes of audio and video tapes as well as several more boxes of vinyl on my quest for a tidy loft ............... jesus I feel old
