Someone brought me a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-Pape today for helping them sort out some dimensions that their architect had got wrong!
I like this person. I would like to help them on a weekly basis.

Chateauneuf translates as Newcastle. Does it still taste nice now?

Well, we went for Italian in the end.

Whitebait and monkfish for starters, then I had the Penne Supreme (cream tomato sauce, with chicken and asparagus), and NT had the calves liver with bacon, mushrooms and veg.

All washed down with a glass of red.

Home now, nicely stuffed and ready to wind down for the evening...

Hi everyone. I've been in Cardiff for a few days. It was my sister's birthday during the week and she wanted to be somewhere different for a change so we had a city break and caught up with family down there.

Back to a cold house now (the heating has thrown a wobbly) but had a good time.

I've....

...discovered people can be very strange. This is a shrine to Torchwood.

Seen familiar and famous places.

Sorted out my next mode of transport.....

.... and had lunch on a lightship, amongst other things.

Hopefully. The Doctor Who Experience was good fun and I fully admit to being a big kid despite my next birthday being a big one with a "0" at the end of it.

I think that's the thing about Doctor Who - it's been going so long that it appeals across many generations. My late day (who would have been 90 this year) loved the original ones back in the '60s

By the way, I've missed your daily photos from your Shropshire rides......service as normal, next week?

Probably. It depends on the weather and other commitments. I had hoped to persuade my brother and sister out for a ride on Sunday but can't see them coming with me in the snow that's forecast.
