There were LOTS of hills on my ride today. Alas, only two-thirds of the mileage and half the elevation of the Exmoor Beauty in (gulp) 8 weeks.

So, at least I do come in handy sometimes. Even if you have to wait for me to catch up to be handy!
I was just looking at my diary and the dates that I had optimistically pencilled in. One by one, I'm having to put a line through them as my recovery off the bike drags on. And on. And on. I can see me missing this year altogether at this rate. Ho hum ...
The annoying thing is that with my recent weight loss I would be flying up the hills (compared to the last few years) if only my heart and lungs were working properly.
Anyway ... chaps, the target for you is to get round SITD this year in 6 hours including stops. I've managed it 2 or 3 times, so I know you can do it too.
Still, at least my walking ability is getting back towards an acceptable level. I am meeting STASS today for a sunny stroll over the hills to a cafe.
I've just downloaded a new camera app for my phone which will save uncompressed pictures so I'll see if I can take some nice detailed ones rather than the slightly washed-out fuzzy ones that it was producing before. If so, I'll post a selection later, including the obligatory cake shots!
