Just had a frustrating conversation with JT Dove's Plumbing Section.... ordered and paid for a 'designer' radiator based on a photo in the brochure in their branch... duly delivered we opened the box to check it wasn't damaged as damages had to be reported within 7 days.... it was awful and we decided we couldn't live with the real thing. Resealed the box and took it back to be told they have a 'no returns' policy as stated in their terms and conditions.... But I had to open it to check it was OK... Oh yes they said, if it had been damaged we would have replaced it but you've opened the box so you can't return it because you don't like it and we can't give you your money back... It's in the terms and cond..... blah, blah, blah.

I have planed a lump of timber to size for a second go at making a wedding present. So far so good. I will leave it overnight to see if it 'moves'.
I then reassembled the MGB front axle assembly in my workshop. I am going to revisit my electric vehicle project to see if I can make a road legal vehicle to use for local cargo carrying and doing small jobs for people. I only need a 40mph top speed and about a 15-20 mile range per day.
There is also a load of stuff bought to renovate Mum and Dad's bathroom.

Either get used to it or sell it on Ebay and lose a load of money... looking to see if we can turn it upside down to avoid seeing the pressed metal convector fins spot welded to the tubes that ruin it, but that needs 2x 15mm to 8mm dia. chromed connectors which no-one makes.... for the very good reason that it reduces the efficiency of the radiator flow.I hope you get it sorted.....not sure what to suggest

It would make a very good radiator...Could NT turn it into a cycle driven food blender?

Even electric tractors need radiators, to dissipate heat from the controller. I currently have a huge slab of aluminium plate. The road truck will need water cooling so I will be making a water cooled heat exchanger for it.
Archie, post up a photo, or a link to the radiator. I am curious as to how bad it could be in real life compared to the catalogue image.
Anyway, this is the MGB axle I am working on. The steering column points towards the back.
The rack is mounted on the cross member.
I will rotate the rack round so the column points forwards.
Then the rack mounts will be changed to on top of the rack, probably welded to the underside of the chassis.
Done like this I can have the cab over the front axle with the wheels under the seats and the footwell ahead of them. The steering will then have a 90deg gearbox to make it point back up towards the steering wheel.

I want to fit taller front wheels to the tractor (16" is a little too small) and did consider it as I have five of them.I'm hoping that you'll transfer those spoke wheels to the tractor - they'd look really special
Very tempted to send them to Spandex at Yourspokes to have them trued up!
I might have to mend a puncture tonight though as the off side wheel isn't holding air.

Well, it is a standard car set. I just didn't want to get rid of any until I was sure how many I might need, a bit like the cast iron baths.Only you could accumulate 5 wheels....
