It is extremely hot hot hot here as well. Too hot to comfortably be outside.

My new lightweight quilt is lovely. I did not get too hot last night.

I slept on top of the duvet and had a large floor standing electric fan blasting at me.

Luckily I am a VERY heavy sleeper, world war 3 wouldn't keep me awake. As well as the fan I also had the TV on

I refuse to complain about the heat. It took so long for the year to warm up I'm making the most of this.

(Having said that, it was a teeny bit on the toasty side riding this afternoon.)

We're back in Manchester and there's no sign of thunderstorms. Boo! I like thunderstorms.

Very hot drive back. We stopped at a services, and miraculously, found the last shady parking space free:
