Love handles are very practical I find. Plus, I know from personal experience that not all tea threaders have toned abs and developed thighs.

Leave the battery out overnight, probably won't sort it but worth a try.

@Arch If it still won't work tomorrow try removing the hard drive and see if you get anything on the screen but make sure you remove the battery before messing around inside it.

Removing the hard drive could prove tricky - IIRC it's a netbook. Not impossible, but not as easy as all that either...
