Out of curiosity, I just had a look at the ensembles for the weather models - possibly going cold enough for our first bits of sleet or snow next week.![]()

Don't tell me. It's going to be right over my head isn't it. ? There is snow on snowdon already.

).
Snowdon has an excuse. It's 3560' tall and as the temperature drops by roughly 3 degrees C for every 1000' you climb, it's just under 11 degrees colder at the top than at sea level (and that's without windchill).

If I am ever in a position to buy a property (I've never lived anywhere remote enough to get snowed in. Feel like I've been missing out.
Also, Shrewsbury is in a rain shadow so it can often stay clear here when a few miles down the road there is deep snow.
) I'll view properties in the winter so I know what I'm getting. So many people moved from their urban worlds to the back end of nowhere where I grew up having only ever seen it in the summer and couldn't cope with it in winter.
