Yep. That's why I've never got on too well with being in clubs, too many rules. Also the reason I no longer bother posting on a major Australian forum, too many uptight members and rules.

The way it was going, if left, would have seen it turn into nowt but a slanging match.
With threads being taken of topic just for the sake of it. It'd put people off wanting to join. One or two have already been forced out due to the amount of abuse directed at them.

I don't disagree with you. I saw a new member get made to feel very unwelcome recently because his views were different to some of our most argumentative members. They probably agreed with him anyway, it's just the way they treat everyone, and I will admit my post was going slightly off topic. I should probably have started a new thread.
Anyway, hows the weather up there. It's 34C here at the momentand a lot hotter in the shed where I'm trying to finish off some fibreglassing on the canoe.

@avalon, not having seen what was deleted, only you asking if you'd broken the new rules, I can't comment. It just seemed odd coming from you! I've had threads deleted with no explanation, over zealous implimentation of the new rules is all I'm able to think of.
