Many thanks for such a long and detailed reply. I think during the day, the geese are on a land-fill site about five miles north-west from here. Someone told me they thought the birds went quite far south to the Severn Estuary for the night. (Not sure how they know that).

They were definitely honking as they went overhead. The ones I see flying south, are too far away to hear if they honk.

Dear oh dear...
I truly wish I still had the photos I took in Sri Lanka, Tea as far as the eye could see.
And the Elephant Orphanage was delightful. ;)

It tool me 45mins to do my 25 min commute today with all this windy stuff going on!
Grrrrrrr.

Thankfully it was to my back on the return leg.*phew*

I'm trying to acclimatise to the cooler weather 'cos if I start wearing warmer clothes now I'm going to run out of warm cycling gear before the real cold sets in!

Tea anyone?

Picking berries in a high wind?
Sloe, sloe, quick, quick, sloe?

something like that, yeah! There were moments when I was hanging onto a branch to hold it low enough for someone else to pick the sloes, and the wind got up and I expected to be lifted clean off the ground!

Just sitting down to my first cuppa of the day. Anyone want one? Or do you want to wait until I've made the toffee chocolate brownies later?

Tea now, and then, tea later too!

I'm hoping to do some baking tomorrow to take some cookies to my sister's, but this week is turning out a bit hectic, and I have to decide whether to go along an support my friend's art/craft open house event tomorrow as well.

And pack.

Hello!

Notice anything different?

No, not about me. Look behind me. No office wall. No uni computer room. Just a mass of clutter. Yes, I'm at home!

Thanks to the kind person who got me all set up.;)

Right, tea?
