Good for you Uncle Phil! No excuse for bad tea tho.

I can't give blood because I'm on regular meds, otherwise I would.

*Fresh tea of superior quality for Uncle Phil!(nearly an armful!;))*

The trouble is, they get in an awful tizzy if you've been anywhere Foreign. It took them ages to work out whether it was OK to take my blood after I'd been to South Africa, Arizona, Florida and various bits of Northern Europe in the last few months.

It was OK, but the senior nurse didn't seem to know that South Africa was a country, not just a general region of Africa...

I have just given blood.

In return for my blood, I recieved a cup of Tea, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the quality.

I'm sure it couldn't have been a comment on the quality of your blood...

I'm on a bit of a sugar high, having sampled the treacle sponge at the Thorp Arch retail park cafe. Stupendously good! Warm, with pouring cream, and a pot of tea that stretched to two mugfulls with a pot of hot water. Not dead cheap, at a fiver for the lot, but it was VERY good treacle sponge.

I shall go there again. Not least on the 25th with the CC ride...

If we get enough cyclists going, they might be tempted to put in a bike rack of some sort!

I would like some Tea, done the gardening, the bit I did not finish on Monday, and also tidied, weeding etc the plants in pots, and sanded down one bence and two chairs. Now time for a shower.

Arch I shall e-mail you some of my treacle sponge next time I do some.
