Thanks, am filling a hot water bottle and treat myself to a new tube of savlon on the way home 
I feel about two inches narrower in width across the shoulders but other than a holey knee and a grumbly neck and back I'm ok.
I should write to Aldi and get them to find what they were making their L/S winter tops out of a couple of years ago, they're really tough. They could make allsorts from it.
