Good thanks! I seem to have worked out the drug regime now, far less painkillers needed than they've given me.

Waffles, don't suppose you saw yesterday's Grauniad did you? Animal picture of the week was an ex-battery chook in a knitted jumper to make up for its lack of feathers.

Is this a weird thing to think....but my cup of tea tastes/feels a lot hotter than my teas normally are.

Same kettle, boiled as per norm. Weird!

Minging out today!! Wanted to cycle to Sainsburys to pick up a few snacks...think I'll pass till tomorrow.

Afternoon all.

It is a bit bright isn't it, although I'm not sure why, the only real difference is that extra logo...

I've been bodging a mudguard on the trike. One of those jobs. You know the ones, should be simple...

Briefly thought about taking it out for a ride too, when a watery sun came out. But I had the wrong shoes on, and riding back from the lock up on the hack, there was a nasty cold wind, so I felt vindicated. Plus my back hurts a lot today, so I've come home to wallow in self pity and tea.

I blame the weather forecasters, they were saying today was going to be foul, so I'd not got myself into a ride frame of mind.

Foul weather can be very good for your diet. Unless you happen to be well stocked up with snacks, in which case you end up staying in and stuffing your face!

In the same way, the 2 flights of stairs up to my flat have often prevented me from going out for a takeaway.... If I'm feeling lazy enough not to cook, I'm way too lazy to go down and back up again!

Haven't seen the photo, but I have the knitting pattern saved on my hard drive - it's a local rescue centre that started it ;)

*wipes sticky, oily, vaguely cheesy-smelling stuff from socks..*

*ick*

Mornings.

Lots of wet stuff from the sky yesterday meant the stream at the end of the garden was flowing very fast and very high. Level gone down over a foot overnight though. Good for me, but downstream is going to still be rising in level most likely.

Hens & cats sorted.

I'm off to make my porridge now.
