Afternoons!!!

Having a very lazy day today.

Just been off the phone to my other half and we have been discussing dates for our proposed civil partnership. we have decided that we will get hitched in July next year after my graduation from University.

What have you been painting Landers? And how's the ankle Arch?

Well painted landers, looks good! (I assume it does, anyway;))

Exciting stuff CM! The ankle is fine, thanks, been pottering around town all morning on it. The elephant worked, obviously. Had a bit of a spree, bought various odds and ends, including a bum-bag for triking (worn on the belly when recumbent), which turned out to have £2 at the till, and a little rucksack from a charity shop, in one pocket of which I've found a very small green plastic soldier and 20p!

Just having some lunch (M and S sushi), before doing some laundry this afternoon, and fettling the summer hack for switching over tomorrow.

Wahey! Congrats CM!
And glad to hear the ankle's better Arch!

We're painting the kitchen and the main bedroom today. The kitchen's now a rather excellent shade of purple, and the bedroom'll be fairly light and plain but with some more purple (different shade) and one wall papered with a sort of twiggy design.

Careful, don't twist your ankle....

I must go and do my laundry. And before it, the heap of washing up that will clear the sink and draining board in order to allow me to do the laundry...

Decor sounds nice Landers - I like that method of having one wall papered - you can be a bit more daring with a big design, and it won't swamp the room.

Congrats and lot of love to you both CM!

The Good Lady and I are performing a song at the civil ceremony of a very dear friend of mine on the first of May. It's only a small gathering but we're both very nervous.

Landers, good to hear the abode is coming together! How's the tummy these days?

Arch, maybe you've weakend yourself by hanging around with the ankle biters?

Right, I need a huge mug of tea and put my feet up.

It'll have to be a MASSIVE mug of tea if you're going to put your feet in it!

I think I may have to head out and cut my grass for the first time this year. It's looking rather bedraggled.

I'm leaving the last of the carrot cake I made for my birthday on the table next to the bath full of tea. There's not much left so you'd better hurry!

Anode has produced a double-yolker. Nathan had one of her eggs for lunch and when he cracked it open, it was a double-yolker. The egg wasn't one of her larger ones either. It's the first double-yolker she's produced.

Well done Anode!

Well, the FCR is fettled - I've run a damp rag over the frame, pumped up the tyres and lubed the chain. For me, that's a Deluxe Service....

Intend to go out for a ride tomorrow, can't decide on more triking or taking the FCR, now that it's on hack duty. I'd have to take it a bit anyway, to get to the lock up, but it probably deserves some real miles.

Of course if I wake up and the weather is lousy, all bets are off...
