Coo, that does look rough...

Poor Waffles, you're doomed, tablewise.

We had a cracking wombling day today, I got four more bottles of washing up liquid dregs (not four bottles full of dregs, just four bottles with dregs in them), and then we found a box of tinned food in a binstore. Perfectly fine, not blown, in date. 16 tins of tomatoes, some sweetcorn, some tuna, some potatoes. We're going to divvy it up later in the week.

And I found a shoe rack that might do well as a low shelf for pots and so on in Gromit's greenhouse.

Tea?

Indeed I am doomed as regards dining room furniture. The shop has phoned. It's a complete refund or have a look to see if there's a different style we'd be happy with...

Sigh...

Why don't you just get a refund, go to IKEA,, get a DIY style table and put it together yourself, or with Mr Waffles and Waffles Jr help.

Less hassle and would probably look better.

IKEA is *miles* and *miles* from us - I'd have to go to Milton Keynes *shudder* And there's naothing in IKEA that would look right in my dining room

Could you get something antique/second hand? At least you'd get to see it before you hand over the money.

Another thought (my head hurts now:biggrin:)

Have you looked to see if there's anything on Ebay?

I've been very pleased with my Laura Ashley dining table if that helps? Never pay their full price though. Wait for the frequent sales.

Purchasing major items is now a very sore subject at Chez Wafflycat. MrWC is muttering about not actually needing new dining furniture... so that means the broken table & chairs is ok then... and we are probably not getting the actual car we agreed on....

I am this: not a happy bunny.

perhaps the discussion on furniture will lead to somewhere new to place the tea mking equipment?

Outside on the patio?

oh yes, and on the ceiling, as in Mary Poppins.

Please to note that the table stays the right way up, otherwisement the tea spills all over the floor. ;)
