Evening all.

I could do with a nap. Been a hot day at work today, went for a pint and a half after work, then bought chips for dinner - which was too big a portion as it happens.

Could just go to sleep....

Zzzzzzzz... eh?

Oh, tea? Yes please?

Sounds like a hectic day that.

I been planting seeds in Veg plot - Beetroot and Parsnip and Peas and Onion Sets and harvesting Leeks and Purple Sprouting. Also more Tomato seeds in pots. Then setting up my new frame. Fitting some STI levers mostly. I still can't get the bar height correct with this new fangled A Head steerer tube thing. Bring back quill stems say I.

Oh and my neighbour has started his house extension  Builders were demolishing the garage as a prelim. What a Bl**dy racket :wahhey: That'll be a racket of one sort or another for a few months now I expect

Well, prior to that, I'd spent an hour sweeping the compound, and half an hour helping to try and get the vehicle out of the soft bit of ground she'd got stuck in....

And the morning collecting recycling.

Been busy this morning too. Went up to prep the trike for tomorrow (which included filing the mudguard down to allow me to get the lowest gear without the chain catching it), and try out my rucksack/sidepod idea. It might just work. Then did a timing run to the pick up point tomorrow, and then locked up the trike and came back into town for some shopping.

Once I've had a cuppa, I'll do some laundry, and then watch Dr Who...

Tea?

Yes, tea please. I am very busy gardening  on the computer . Some plants died during the winter, so as far as possible I shall be moving, lifting, dividing plants and or/saving seeds. But decided that a few new plants will be necessary. Agapanthus in blue and white, is a definite possibility. There is not many white ones, but loads of blue ones.

Doing it on-line means I can read the details of the plants, and decide where they would go, rather than getting carried away at a plant centre.

Afternoon.

I've spent most of the day gardening. Dig over one veg patch & covered with with weed suppressant layer to keep it weed-free until the seeds I've done are ready to go out to their final positions. Done more potatoes, thyme, lemon thyme, rosemary (lost both my existing rosemary plants over the winter. Some hamburg parsley, scorzenera, spinach beet, spring onions..

I am tired.

Cut some of last year's chard & spinach beet that overwintered well to use in this evening's stir-fry

Did I say how lovely and calm London is without all the s*dd*ng aeroplanes?!!!!!!!!

I bet it is. I've not noticed it so much here, but it's wierd to look up and think, there's nothing up there (aside from a few light planes and low helicopters).

I've just plotted the route of tomorrow's Audax, with selected Streetview highlights. That's a useful thing for making sense of an Audax routesheet - esp if you're a newbie like me!

Nearly time for some Dalek action, then I'm carb loading with Spag bol.

Evening All (as Dixon said in Dock Green)

Which Audax Arch? And Newbie? - To Auking or this particlular route? I do like a good Auk. Round this way the next sensible one is next week and then at the end of May. I forgot to send off my entry for next week too  I expect a phone call will work tho'.

Been fettling my new bike again. I think I have it sorted now  apart not having any bolts to fit a bottle cage . Next job is the test ride

But first a good old Sunday ride in glorious weather (for the first time this year)
