Oh, most tasteful, for sure. Destination? Home to Chuffy's favourite animal, and one of their major exports is a certain caffeinated beverage.
Let me know if you'd like any more clues...

Oh, and you can imagine the expression on my hairdresser's face when I said I was riding to Sheffield on Friday to start my trip south.

"How far's that?!"

"Oh, it'll be 50-60 miles"

Oh, let me know if you find a good route. I'm going to be riding up to the FNRTTC and I'm unsure of the best way to go.

When I'm sorted out, I'll post the google map link my mate sent me - no idea what the route is like, but it looks like little roads all the way.

Meanwhile:

:biggrin::angry::sad::angry::tongue::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

Just in from 58 very hot miles. Got sunburned knees, due to being useless and missing bits when applying my P20 (it absorbs fast, so it's harder to see if you miss a bit.)

And the bloody milk has turned. Not enough to ruin the bowl of cereal I'm shovelling down my throat, but enough to make my tea lumpy....xx(

I may feel up to going out for some later, but meanwhile, I've got black tea, and it ain't the same...

Here's the Google map link, Hulver.

I'll be riding as far as Wentworth, where my friend will pick me up, to save me doing the last hilly, busy-city bit.

I did my ride today with my full luggage for the holiday, to see if it worked out ok. Seems to be ok, and I didn't notice the extra weight too much. Was shattered by the end, and the last bit of the Elvington road being like a ploughed field rendered in concrete did not help.

Thanks. Looks like a nice quiet route.

I am studying, first exam tomorrow.

However, it was nice to study outdoors under a tree in the sunshine away from noisy flatmates who I really want to kill.

Roll on August when I get my own place again.

But I hope the good weather comes back on June 1st.

Afternoons!!!
TheDoc is being dragged kicking and screaming to That London this evening to meet up with Hilldogger of this parish. There may be a brewed beverage or three consumed. They are not terribly likely to be tea...

It's lovely and sunny here. I've just been enjoying a cuppa on the terrace of my youth hostel overlooking a lake. Should I re-open the helmet debate and sell the advantages for keeping your head cool on a hot day... I could definitely tell the difference today.

No polar bears then?

Well, it clouded over earlier, I hoped it might rain, but no....

This warm weather is all very well, but St Nicks is running out of water - we're not on the mains, and rely on rain....
